Read MoreThe view is seen from the hedgerow where the bull finch watch the orchard in relative safety. The Victorian gardeners deemed this secretive bird as a “blossom picker” causing the reduction of fruit growth. As their numbers dwindled we now realise that they can live in harmony in the orchard.
