Join us on Thursday 20th April for a lecture on the life and artistic process of Sir Henry Raeburn by world renowned artist and art teacher Sarah Margaret Gibson, co-founder of the Glasgow Fine Art Academy and an Artistic Ambassador for The Prince’s Foundation.
Sarah will be giving a lecture on the famous 18th century Scottish painter which highlights the link between his peculiar genius, the unique circumstances of his life and his masterful oil painting technique and subsequent fame. The lecture will also feature a virtual demonstration of Raeburn’s oil painting technique via a master copy painted by Sarah.
The demonstration will be followed by a delectable afternoon tea offering.
