Mackintosh & His Furniture by Roger Billcliffe – Wednesday 6th September

Roger Billcliffe, whose gallery is now adjacent to The Glasgow Art Club, will talk about Mackintosh's furniture based around the exhibits in our current show, looking at his designs for Tea Room and domestic furniture that gave him an international reputation in 1900 – a reputation that continues to this day.

The Glasgow Art Club's current exhibition 'Inspired by Mackintosh & Macdonald' showcases a variety of Mackintosh-designed pieces from wallpaper to spoons, and multiple furniture pieces for use in properties such as Hill House, Willow Tea Rooms and Hous' Hill made by Bruce Hamilton, a Mackintosh & Bespoke furniture maker, as well as some pieces kindly on loan from Windy Hill.
