Quint-Essential Art - Margaret Johnston
Margaret Johnston is an Ayrshire-based artist with a background in Interior and Exhibition Design. A graduate of Glasgow College of Building & Printing, she worked as an Exhibition Designer at Paisley Museum, where she designed the ‘Paisley 500’ exhibition, opened by HRH the Queen Elizabeth II.
Now dedicated to oil painting, Margaret works from her WASP studio in Irvine and regularly exhibits in Glasgow, Edinburgh, and beyond. She has trained with renowned artists such as Daniel Keys and Alex Venezia, and is a member of several leading Scottish art societies. In 2023, she was awarded the Paisley Art Institute’s James Curr Trophy.
