Emma Selina Blackhall, a Glasgow-based sculptor, creates captivating works that delve into the intricacies of the human body. Employing diverse techniques and meticulous, time-consuming processes, she utilises an array of materials such as leather, bacteria, bones, hair, wood, metal, and shells. The sculptures culminate in intricate assemblages, with echoes of the human form and the multiplicity of the human experience. In 2021, she was awarded the RSW Alexander Graham Munro Travel Grant for her artwork ‘The Dividing line’.
