Ronald Singleton and friends present a jocular-secular show
THE RITES AND RINGS OF CHRISTMAS from Saturn to Santa, from assassination to asinine.
Thursday 05 December, 6pm for 6.30pm
£10 GAC Members, £12 Non-Members, £5 Students

This takes a jocular, secular look at the way Christmas has come about
- the long, long search to find the right date for it, how a secondary
character with a kind heart and how a shop owner with a liking for
dressing up made it a world-wide family date - and a bonanza we try to
enjoy.
TO HELP - there will be MULLED WINE AND MINCE PIES!
The speakers:
Ronald Singleton
Born into the cinema business he naturally wanted to be a film director, but succumbed to his father's pleas and, after being a member of the Oxford University Dramatic Society and studio manager for Granada Television in Manchester, came home to Glasgow in 1962. Enjoyed running the Cosmo (now the GFT) for ten years.
Alison Spurway
Past member of Glasgow University Drama Society, Arts Theatre Group and Kilmardinny Theatre Group. She performed last year at the Glasgow Art Club in “Dickens in Glasgow”
Dr Brian Hayward
Brian was a member of the Drama staff at Jordanhill College for many years where he directed students and on occasion acted himself (King Lear under the direction of Joe Casciani Head of Department). He has written several plays including The Glasgow Girls.
