Description
This work is a memory of a fabulous visit to Venice with my late mum and sister. We arrived on a waterbus from the airport to see dawn rise in the mist over Venice Island, gradually revealing itself as we got closer. I felt as though we were in as if in a Canaletto painting. The etching came from the inevitable tourist ride on a Gondola. I made it a long time ago though never editioned till now but it evokes for me the feeling of love and loss on so many levels.
