About James Mcdonald

Born in Stirling, I studied at Edinburgh College of Art, completing my post graduate year in 1979.

Working solely in printmaking for 5 years, I started painting in 1986 & since then have painted full time, exhibiting in the UK & abroad in solo & mixed exhibitions.

My pictures are in various public & private collections, including all the major Scottish banks, the Victoria & Albert Museum, the McMaster Museum, Ontario, the Hunterian Gallery and Jenny Agutter, James Herbert & Michel Blanc, among others.

I also dabble in short, digital videos.
