The Glasgow team of 6 was ably captained by Michael Clark and Edinburgh by Charlie Scott – 3 couples on each side – with Glasgow winning a closely fought match by two wins to one.
The day started with a bacon roll and finished with drinks at the bar, sponsored by GAC, and dinner in the club dining room at which a bottle of champagne was presented to the winning captain.
There was strong support for a repeat match next year in Edinburgh and even suggestions of widening the GAC golfing fixture list to Pebble Beach and possibly further afield!
