The Opium Den (Diptych)

Description

The Golden Triangle encompassing north-eastern Myanmar, north-western Thailand and northern Laos is renowned for its opium. This diptych derives from a photograph I took back in 1978 while trekking through the area staying in rustic guest houses that sometime doubled as opium dens.
Each painting set in a graphite stained tray frame measuring 70 x 50cm with off white surround mount and protected by non-reflective glass.
