Description

Laggan Locks is at the highest point on the Caledonian Canal. At dusk and dawn strange puffs of mist float above the water and gather on the lower reaches of the mountains. This atmospheric mile long stretch of man made canal was built to link Loch Lochy and loch Oich is known as Laggan Avenue.
This painting formed part of my Artist residency with Scottish Canals funded by Creative Scotland and Falkirk Community Trust. it is painted on deep edge linen.
