“Things Will Be Better In The Next Life”
“As we navigate the ‘Cost of Living Crisis’, what impact will this have on our children, and their opportunities in life? Historically, the poor were told, if you suffer in this life, you will be rewarded in the next. It was the churches way of maintaining a stable society amid, dire poverty. What will we tell our children to give them hope in the days ahead”?
This photo was shortlisted for the John Byrne Award in August 2022. It will be part of their Summer 2023 exhibition in Edinburgh.
