Description

Inspired by travel to Japan and in parallel with Japanese Architect Kengo Kuma designing the V&A for Dundee, ‘ Garden Ties ‘ is a symbol of my journey and the bond between Scotland and Japan.
Through fabric, kimono ties and garden landscape I entwine elements to create the whole.
I include the addition of collected fragments from Japan, on the painting surface.
