Dionysian Aftermath (After Unknown 19th century Artist)

Description

This painting depicts the quiet collapse following a Dionysian revelry. A reclining figure lies unconscious, her body suspended between abandon and vulnerability, her form at once sensual and inert. Grapes, a fallen cup, and distant menhirs evoke the tension between sensual pleasure, ritual memory, and the quiet weight of consequence.
