Quint-Essential Art Florence Sinclair M

Florence Sinclair-M is a graduate of the Royal School of Fine Arts of San Fernando in Madrid, where she majored in Drawing and Painting. She went on to study engraving at Saint Martin’s School of Art, and later spent two years at the renowned Atelier 17 in Paris, researching colour printmaking under Stanley William Hayter. In 2005, she was invited to Kyoto Seika University to study traditional Japanese woodblock printing. Now based in Edinburgh, where she settled in 2016, Florence’s work reflects a rich cross-cultural journey through technique, form, and material. The paintings shown here emerged during a period of isolation throughout the COVID-19 pandemic— meditative, introspective responses to an extraordinary time. www.sinclair-mahdavi.com
