Liz enjoys the challenge of painting with watercolour from her studio at home, and outdoors when weather permits, exploring the versatility of water with colour and manipulating paint to create exciting surfaces.

” Inspired by travel in Japan, using symbolism, I explore subject through connection and space in-between. Paintings sometime include the addition of Japanese paper on the painting surface. ”  Liz Dulley

Following variety in career and time at university Liz has been a full time artist and tutor of art for over a decade, setting up her own private ‘ Watercolour all Ways ‘ classes following lockdown. In conjunction with her painting Liz also enjoys visiting art clubs to deliver workshops and talks, to pass on tips & discovered techniques.

Liz received awards in the Malaysia International Online Juried Art CompetitionStill Life & Floral Category in 2023 ( Escoda Gold Brush Award ), 2024 ( Merit Award ) & 2026 ( Excellence Award ) and Liz Dulley Studio has been awarded Independent Artist of the Year at Scotland Prestige Business Awards 25/26.

Artist statement – I’m an elected Artist Member of Paisley Art Institute and Glasgow Art Club, am pleased to have had work selected for Artists of the Year exhibitions in London and hung with the RoyaSociety of Scottish Painters in Watercolour. Recent work has been selected for international and national online exhibitions in the Ukraine, Italy, France, Japan and Malaysia. I have been honoured to return to the Mall Galleries, London to exhibit work with the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolour and Society of Women Artists.

Watercolour painting ‘ Delivery Room ‘ 38 x 56cm will represent Scotland as part of the Scottish Team at this years international watercolour convention Fabriano in Aquarello 26, in Italy
