About

Past Glasgow Art Club Gallery Convenor Dec 2017 until Nov 2018 and Council Member. The solo exhibition titled “Ocean of Time “ completed a very busy year of 2018. A theme based exhibition of a strong body of artwork including paintings and art textiles. A Glasgow born (1961) classically trained artist who is inspired by people and my awareness of the fragility of the natural world. As a landscape and figurative artist I try to document this through paint, mixed media and textiles. Recurrent themes are, time, land and sea. I graduated from Glasgow School of Art in 1983, gaining a BA Hons Degree in Fine Arts, specialising in painting and drawing, see awards. On graduating I continued to paint and exhibit, whilst working as a Therapist. I remain fascinated by the genius and symbolism of William Blake and the clever symbolic language of the Renaissance masters. In 2013 I established a studio in the Stirlingshire area. I live with my husband and family of aspiring designers. I have exhibited in London, South East England, galleries and Arts Societies across Central Scotland, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Argyll and Perthshire. Also private collections in Britain and Australia. Artist member of Glasgow Society of Women Artists (GSWA) Awards 1982 Harry McLean Bequest, Conservation of Paintings, Glasgow School of Art. Joint award, 2 week internship. 1983 Harry McLean Bequest Conservation of paintings. Full Award. Glasgow School of Art. Professional Qualifications BA Hons Degree Fine Arts.
