About

Lesley Anne Derks graduated from Glasgow School of Art in 1999 with a BA (hons) Fine Art Drawing and Painting. Her early work was inspired by the Grangemouth petrochemical complex and this influence led to her painting predominantly cityscapes. She has exhibited extensively throughout the UK and abroad and her work has appeared in leading magazines and newspaper articles. She is regularly commissioned, and most recently completed a painting for Scottish Power, to mark the closure of Longannet Power Station. As well as painting, Lesley Anne lectures part-time at Forth Valley College and is also an artist practitioner with the Charity Artlink Central.
