Kirstin Mackinnon

About

Kirstin is a figurative painter, from Glasgow, with a background in vision science. Her work is predominantly created from life in oils, and she has a particular interest in portraiture.

Kirstin graduated in 2023 with a first-class honours degree in Fine Art from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design. She received accolades for her painting and writing, and her work was purchased for a public collection.

Kirstin’s current research is centred around gender equality in contemporary Scottish painting.
