Delighted this photograph has been longlisted for the MPB Scottish Portrait Award in Photography 2026.

“Dare to Dream”

Through this image, I wanted to contrast the weight of the past with the promise of the future. Following the national team’s spectacular qualification, young players across Scotland no longer have to sit on the sidelines, burdened by the defeats of old. The ‘grainy legends’ of the past have been brought into sharp, living focus. It is a powerful reminder that heart defines a nation more than size, and that Scotland is ready to stand toe-to-toe with the world’s best.
