Functions

For your special event or business function, the Glasgow Art Club offers a unique venue with food and service of the highest quality. A number of function rooms are available for hire by both members and non members. A wide range of functions and events can be catered for including: weddings, celebrations, birthdays, anniversaries, meetings, conferences, dinners and exhibitions.

Function Rooms

There are a number of function rooms available and collectively they provide a range of sizes and facilities to meet the size and scope of most events.

For a large event, the Gallery, designed by Charles Rennie Mackintosh, can accommodate up to 100 people for a sit down dinner or wedding breakfast and it can cater for around 120 people for a more relaxed fork buffet.

The Dining Room can accommodate up to 50 people for dinner. The Dining room can also be used for a much larger audience when a wedding ceremony takes place at the Club.

Smaller events, of up to 20 people, can be accommodated in the Library or Reception room.

Catering

Sample menus and wine lists are available for you to make your choice, or the chef will be happy to discuss your requirements. The chef can also make suggestions and he will take note of any dietary requirements e.g. vegetarian etc. For meetings which are arranged to take place in the library or reception room; tea, coffee and biscuits are made available.

Weddings

The Glasgow Art Club is licensed for weddings to take place on the Club’s premises. Civil and religious weddings and civil partnership ceremonies can be accommodated. Each wedding at the Club is tailored to meet the specific wishes of the bride and groom to make it a very special and memorable occasion.

Booking

To make a booking for an event: please contact the General Manager or Assistant Manager either by telephone (0141 248 5210), email or by using the contact form on the contact page to check the availability for your event. You will be invited to visit the club to discuss your specific requirements and will be provided with menu and wine price options etc.. Details of the room hire rates are shown on the bookings page. Club Members are not charged a room hire rate, unless it is for a corporate event.
