Sun 8th May: Art for Ukraine – A Charity Auction

Doors Open 12 midday, Auction Commences 2pm

Submitted works available to view prior to auction in the Club’s main downstairs gallery space May 3rd and May 6th 11am to 5pm.  Other viewings may be possible but please call the Club on 0141 2485210 to firstly check.

Glasgow Art Club members, Paisley Art Institute Diplomates and other invited artists are donating their talents to raise funds for humanitarian aid to support the victims of the conflict in Ukraine.

The auction has been organised in collaboration with the Association of Ukrainians in Great Britain (AUGB) who will be on hand on the day to talk about their c0-ordination of both the supply of relief to Ukraine and arrangements in UK to support fleeing refugees.

The auction is being kindly conducted by Natsha Raskin Sharp of Exhibit Auctions at no charge.  The majority of funds raised will be made available to the Edinburgh branch of the AUGB to provision relief in accordance with prevailing priorities at the time.  Overhead expenses are being limited to costs associated with running the auction, payment transaction fees and optional reimbursement of artist framing expenses.

The auction catalogue is available to view here. Works will be able to be purchased either by physically attending the auction in the Club or remotely online by registering on the Exhibit Auctions website.

Tea, coffee, light snacks and other refreshments will be available on a first come first served basis prior to the auction from 12 midday onwards.
