8th August to 21st September: Inspired by Mackintosh & Macdonald

A unique exhibition of works that have been inspired by those of Charles Rennie Mackintosh or his wife Margaret Macdonald – either in the style of, depiction of, a replication of, a record of or using the techniques of.   The exhibition combines works produced by the Club’s members with a number of items which have been kindly loaned, including a number of furnishings, wallpaper designed by Mackintosh and technical drawings.  The exhibition is complemented by an accompanying exhibition ‘New Scottish Furniture’ in the Club’s upstairs gallery space.

  • Plus also the following Saturdays: August 12th, September 2nd & 16th
  • Mark the date Tuesday 12th September  – ‘An Introduction to Charles Rennie Mackintosh’, an evening talk by Lachlan Goudie. The artist, broadcaster and author who presented the BBC TV programme ‘Mackintosh: Glasgow’s Neglected Genius’ will present a talk linking to the exhibition, booking details to follow.
