Transitions: Chick McGeehan
Private View: Thursday 23 February
Exhibition Runs: Friday 10 February – Saturday 11 March
EXTENDED: exhibition will now run until Friday 24 March
An exhibition of work by Chick McGeehan showcasing a transition from pictorial representation to abstract studies of textures and surfaces inspired by studies of the immediate environment around the artists studio at Irvine harbour. Particular inspiration was gained by close study of the hulk of the “City of Adelaide” aka the “Carrick” prior to her historic journey by barge and transport ship to Australia. Additional stimuli were found within the environs of the Scottish Maritime Museum.
