Club member Raymond Williamson has once again delved into his collection to bring us a film presentation of Donizetti’s dramatic opera based on Sir Walter Scott’s novel The Bride of Lammermoor – an appropriate choice as we mark the 250th anniversary of Scott’s birth.
The Club’s previous Opera Film Nights have been hugely enjoyable, and Lucia is one of the most dramatic and lyrical in the repertoire. As before the format of the evening is a 5.00 p.m. start and a break for supper before the concluding act.
