Born Glasgow 1976. Siobhan Healy’s work is concerned with endangered species of flora and fauna. The work is depicted as ethereal, transient imagery to invoke the sense of the delicacy of the species depicted. Healy is well established as a glass & crystal maker and she won the International Glass Prize (Public Prize) in 2012 and is currently an Artist in Residence at Edinburgh College of Art/ Edinburgh University. Current work are explorations in screenprinting (with hand embellished details in 24 carat gold and diamond dust) and sculptural depictions of rare coral reefs.
