Scottish Portrait Awards 2022 Longlist.

A Self-Portrait
The two sides of age 45 years.
In part slowly disappearing, yet at the same time shining brighter than ever before.
I am becoming less and less visible. Almost invisible.
The brighter side of 45, I am more confident and comfortable in my own ageing skin, than I have been in my life. I quietly shine, with confidence and being content and happier than I can remember.
By this stage in life, I have seen enough, I really have seen enough, to know my own value. To appreciate my own unique beauty and truly value what lies within.
I am at peace. I AM here.
I am probably more present than I have ever been.
