Description

Edinburgh Nights depicts The Grassmarket which is such a vibrant, atmospheric part of Edinburgh — it’s easy to see why it’s one of Karin Hepburn’s favourites. The view of Edinburgh Castle looming above gives the place a magical feel, and it’s almost impossible not to think of J.K. Rowling and the inspiration it must have provided for the Harry Potter series. That mix of history, mystery, and charm permeates the area.

The Fiddler’s Arms is a classic choice for winding down after a day of exploration, especially with a Baileys on ice. There’s something about the warm glow of the pub’s lights against the historic backdrop of the castle that makes it feel like you’re stepping into another era. The cobbled streets, alive with the hum of tourists and locals alike, only add to the sense of the city’s rich layers of history and culture.

As a Glaswegian at heart, my new series of Edinburgh landmarks are becoming controversial as Edinburgh and Glasgow have always been rival cities.
