You will be amazed at the beautiful, large, bright open space which is our largest exhibition gallery. With its Charles Rennie Mackintosh frieze, panelled walls and breathtaking fireplaces, the Glasgow Art Club Gallery truly is a hidden gem in the heart of the city.
The walls are hung with original artwork by members of the Club which are part of an ever changing programme of exhibitions. The perfect location for morning coffee, afternoon tea, reading the papers and catching your breath, seek solace in the Gallery and unwind in the comfort of one of our large leather sofas. You might even be lucky enough to catch one of our musically talented members providing some gentle ambiance on our grand piano.
Wi-fi enabled, it is the perfect place for sitting quietly and catching up on some correspondence and is also home to many of our live music evets as well as formal dinners, theatrical performance and general shin-digs!
The Gallery can seat up to 100 for a formal dinner, function or wedding, but in its normal everyday guise, you can relax in the deceptively cosy space and observe some of Charles Rennie Mackintosh’s earliest work in the feature fireplaces, brass finger plates, decorative panels and frieze.
