About Anderson B Robertson

Anderson B Robertson studied under the late David Donaldson RSA RP RGI LLD Dlitt, Painter and Limner to her Majesty the Queen in Scotland.

He was elected Professional Member of the Glasgow Art Club 1982 and elected Professional Member of Visual Arts Scotland 1996.

Over the years he has work exhibited in the annual exhibitions of: -
Royal Society of Portrait Painters, Mall Galleries, London
Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolours, Mall Galleries, London
Royal Watercolour Society's C21 Exhibition, Bankside Gallery, London
Royal Scottish Academy, the Mound, Edinburgh

Artist's Statement:

My style varies with my subject matter, I feel equally at home painting abstractly and realistically. My subjects vary and all are derived from my personal interests and experiences. I have never cocerned myself with what might or might not be saleable. I have had for example a lifelong interest in the Native Americans and I have painted many semi-abstract works based on their myths and legends. I mention this only to makle the point that this is hardly the route many would take if money-making was their motivating force.
In short I love the freedom of what I want to paint.
