About Liz Knox“Approaching Liz Knox’s work needs consideration, thought, time.” Giles Sutherland art critic and writer, August 2006. After specialising in Drawing and Painting, Liz Knox graduated from Edinburgh College of Art in 1971. She spent years bringing up her sons and lecturing in fine art, with little time to paint. In 2003, she decided to leave lecturing to paint full time and on the same day, was awarded The Aspect Prize. She now exhibits throughout Britain, with regular solo exhibitions in London. An elected artist member of The Glasgow Art Club, Paisley Art Institute, Visual Arts Scotland and The Glasgow Society of Women Artists, Knox is at present, Vice President of Paisley Art Institute and a council member of The Glasgow Art Club. “Knox has gone on to become one of Scotland’s most collectable contemporary artists….” Jan Patience, The Herald June 2007.
