About James D Robertson

James D Robertson

All my paintings using oil and gouache are to do with landscapes and seascapes and are based on observation and memory, and are used as a starting point to create works involving colour, light and atmosphere. These works are all created in the studio and are the result of personal vision and a vocabulary achieved over many years of studio practice. Am interested in the calligraphic and dynamic qualities of paint both in oil andwatercolour.
